Host Qualification
Heritage Student Foundation welcomes faithful and trustworthy hosts who are compatible with below criteria.
Someone who
- Has positive thinking and is open to welcome new culture.
- Has experience of raising her/his own children. Ability to welcome student as a new member of the family, not as someone who rents a room in the house.
- Owns a car and has enough experience to drive safely.
- Has a single room available in the house to provide to the student and it is solely for student’s use.
- Must be able to provide breakfast and dinner during weekdays when school is in session, and all three meals a day during the weekend. If Host is absent during meal times, Host is to either prepare meal in advance or leave directions and funds for take-out.
- Is available to provide rides to/from school to student(s) if school bus is not available.
- Is able to provide high speed internet, since student will need to do homework online. The student will have his/her own laptop, however, wireless internet is a must.
- May be able to provide rides for extracurricular if pre-scheduled.
- Is available to handle school matters on behalf of student’s parents.
- Is supportive and friendly to children.
- Is a native English speaker or is as fluent in English as a native speaker unless otherwise.
- Has a clean back ground, and everybody over 18 residing in the same house should have background check.
